we recently purchased an explorist 600 gpsr and have purchased the software, we also became members, so we are able to download our waypoints directly to our gpsr. the problem that i have is that i can not figure out how to manually enter coordinates. when looking for multi-caches we have to enter the 2nd waypoints on to the computer and then download to our gpsr, which can be a problem when you are in the middle of the seine river looking for WOODY. if anybody has experience with this gpsr or just some advise please respond toour email address.

thanks in advance

The explorist is typical of most GPSr's.

  • Press "Mark" which creates a waypoint at you current position.

  • Use the Arrow joystick to highlight the location field

  • Press "Enter" (you can now modify the location)

  • Use the Arrow joystick up/down to change the value at the cursor point.

  • Use the Arrow joystick left/right to change the cursor position

  • To move to the second line of data, press "Enter"

  • Press "Enter" when finished the second line.

  • Use the Arrow to highlight "Save"

  • Press "Enter"

  • On the Explorist, you next have to select the file to save the POI in and press "Enter"

The best mapping for the Explorist is MapSend DirectRoute $150.

I am some older (2002) mapping (without "routing").
                MapSend Street and Destination Canada
MapSend Topo for the United States
