Cache Proximity

Please don't list caches nearer than .1 away from other cache hides if at all possible. When hiding a cache it is a very good idea to upload your cache and then when you get the listing minutes later and not approved yet do a nearest cache search just to check if your co-ords are listed correctly and IF you are closer than .1 to another cache.

A few, not many, caches have been listed in Manitoba that are too close to another cache. A couple of hundred feet is not enough distance between two caches since by widening your search you can actually find the wrong cache. Cache approvers don't always catch when a new regular cache is listed near a multi-stage cache such as one of the CITO ones. That is quite understandable. If one hasn't done all the multi's or puzzle it is difficult to know where they are hidden.
The only exception approvers are supposed to make, as I understand it, is if two caches are hidden within 500 feet of each other but on opposite sides of a river where there is no nearby bridge connecting the two.
Just try and check by punching in the co-ords where you want to hide or have hidden into geocaching.com search and seeing if anything is closer than 500 feet.
