I'm now running a chat server dedicated (at the moment) to providing a chat channel for the association. For those familiar with IRC, the server is irc.grnbrg.org, and the channel is #mbga.
Clients:
Mozilla -- Mozilla has a built-in client.
Firefox -- Download and install the chatzilla plugin .
mIRC -- A stand-alone IRC client for Windows. Available here.
Gaim -- A standalone chat client supporting just about every chat protocol there is, for Windows and Linux.

Well, when I posted this, I had my clients confused. mIRC, while an excellent Windows client, is shareware. The one I intended to recommend is "Virtual IRC", which is freeware and available from http://www.visualirc.net/.
Ertyu will soon be adding a link to the chatroom off the main www.mbgeocaching.ca page.
