I just recently got into GeoCaching (the last couple days here) and am looking forward to getting out and finding some caches around my town. I just wanted to come introduce myself and say hi to everyone in this community and that I am looking forward to meeting some fellow cachers in the future.
I live in The Pas MB and went looking for my first cache yesterday with my 2 year old son. He carried the GPS and I carried him (probly the HEAVIEST GPS holder available lol) We didnt find the Rosie Maine cache but we had fun looking for it and Im planning on going back soon and give it another go. For now I am gonna try and make sure I put the right co-ordinets in my GPS and make sure I have all that stuff correct befor I head out again. Once I get my new unit I will be able to dl the coordinets right to the GPS itself. I ordered the 60 csx =) cant wait till it comes. I am an avid hunter and fisherman and love being outside so this sport/hobby just seemed like the next logical thing to try.
Hope to meet some fellow cachers soon and any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
You have a lot of caches to enjoy finding from easy to hard ones. Most caches in and around The Pas are kidlette friendly, but some you may have to bring money for (treats) if you have your kids...grins.
Any questions or concerns feel free to contact myself in the Trappers Capital. We may be small in numbers right now but boy can we hide em.
More importantly though remember to have fun and enjoy it...it's a blast.
Hello flyguy! Well, I may be in the south, so may not get to meet you very soon, but nonetheless, welcome to what will become your favourite hobby! Get ready for the addiction! Great to have you on board! Wagonmaker
