What's the Story on GeoCoins?
Permalink Closed

We are now in possession of two awesome, serialized GeoCoins. They're gold in colour, with a raised Manitoba Logo on the front and a number stamped on the back. I'm sure one of our founding MBGA members created these bits of treasure, but I'm not sure what I'm to do with them. Do we register the coins or are we just out there looting caches? Should we send them on their way caching, or mount them on a plaque in our GeoCaching trophy case?

This is the first that I have heard of these. Of course, I've never seen one.

I would try to track back in the logs to see who placed it in the cache(s) where you found them. Not everyone read these forums, so you might have to resort to emails.

Sounds like a 1Q4J Geocoin.
I move them along, I think some people keep them.

Thanks ertyu - they're from the Queens treasury alright. The IQ4J Manitoba numbered geocoins series. I think I'll hang onto one of the treasures, but I'll put the other back into circulation.
