I found this last night -- the Canadian Spatial Reference System website, run by the feds. You'll need to register for a userid and password to use most of the features, but this is free and painless. There are all sorts of goodies on this site. Some examples:
A database of all the Canadian benchmark locations, new and old
Direct links to control stations in the Canadian Active Control system
Web applications for various purposes, such as the correction of raw GPS data in RINEX format (which you can apparently get out of most consumer grade GPSrs) to centimetre-level accuracy.
