MBGA logo store (Cafe Press) now open.
Permalink Closed

I've just opened up a Cafe Press shop with various items branded with the two MBGA logos. Check it out at:

http://www.cafepress.com/mbga_stuff

T-shirts sweatshirts, buttons, magnets, etc, etc. And (courtesy of Groundspeak) a coffee mug with both our logo and the Geocaching.com logo.

Orders will be delivered three to four weeks after they are submitted, and are shipped via USPS, which avoids the more costly customs fees charged by courier companies. You can expect to pay PST, GST and a C$5.00 handling fee on delivery.

All items in the shop are priced $1-$2 over Cafe Press's base prices -- this will be contributed to the Association to defer various operating costs.

If you put in a order for more than $35.00 before March 1st (sorry for the short notice!), use coupon code "SRV107" to get $5.00 off.

Let me know if there are any questions, comments, or suggestions.

Edit: Added coupon code.

Nice I was wondering if this would get set up by someone.  I may have to place an order. Has anyone ever ordered from Cafe Press before?

I ordered a mug (nearly identical to the one in the shop -- I made a small change based on how mine came out) and some calling-card magnets. It's what I based the shipping info in the post on.

I recieved my stuff almost exactly 3 weeks after I submitted the order, with a COD charge of about $10.00 -- $2.50 PST, $2.50 GST and a $5.00 handling fee to Canada Post.

Quality on the mug and magnets was good -- I assume the garment quality will be similar.

On Feb 27, I ordered a mug, some magnets, a cap, a golf shirt, and a journal. Two days later I got an E-Mail that it was shipped. It arrived 9 days later, in excellent shape, cleared by customs and without having to pay taxes or handling fee.(sometimes you get lucky and get a good customs officer!) I am very  happy with the quality, and would encourage others to place an order. I know I'll be ordering again. Thank you Brian for making this possible.

I combined an order from grnbrg, 3T's&aG and myself and I am very impressed with the service and how fast our order came in. I highly recommend any of the sweatshirts. Thye're nice and heavy and spacious! I ordered an XL. It's big on me but I like that. Gord from Morris saw mine and wants one too now. The writting on the mini buttons is a little microscopic. grnbrg is going to look into that.

After winning the poker derby last fall, I promised I'd come up with some good prizes for a future event. I know of one event in the works by the queen and 3T's&aG so consider as prizes an XL MBGA golf shirt and an XL hooded MBGA sweatshirt. I need to make another order anyway to please Gord so I'll just add it in. MHz

Just a reminder to people considering an order -- most of the shirts and sweatshirts have several options for logo printing on the front and back. Usually the front can have either a large centered logo on the front or a smaller "breast pocket" logo. The back logo options are large and centered, or a short and wide strip over the shoulders. Some garments (such as the golf shirt) have fewer options.

I've used an assortment of options for various garments, most frequently leaving the back blank. Have a look at the detailed description for a garment, and if you'd like a different layout, email me and I'll change it.

Similarly, the items in the store are split roughly half and half between the green and colour MBGA logos. If you're interested in a particular item but with a different logo, I can make a change.

This is a limitation of the "free" Cafepress store -- I can only have one version of any product they sell at a time. Premium shops don't have this limitation, but cost US$7 per month, and I don't think the sales volume through the shop will support that.

I forgot, if any one is planning and order before the March 31/06 use the coupon code MAR40 to get $5 off your order. Enjoy! MHz
