It’s a big day for GeoCaching in Manitoba! It looks like Manitoba’s top finder, winnipgek5 placed two caches today to put the active count in Manitoba at 500.
Way to go Manitoba cachers! This crazy activity is growing rapidly in Manitoba with more new cachers joining up every day and great caches to find and places to visit all over the province.
I remember when there were less than 100 caches within a 100-mile radius of Winnipeg. I think it was 62 at the time I started caching. It sure has grown.
I don't suppose you want to know there are 500 caches within 12.4 miles of my apartment here in Rochester, NY, and I've only found 261 of those so far!

... And less than two months later, we're up by more than 40% to 718 active caches!
The other day I decide to plot my find count versus time. It gives some insight to the number of caches hidden as its fairly relative to what I've found.

Make that 900, with "Multilingual Multi Cache" by MB Country Girl & cdnwpgr (GCXQQJ)
That's an additional 400 caches placed since April 12th -- we're averaging 100 caches placed per month....
This is the old quality assurance background kicking in but it would be really interesting to see if there's a correlation between the erytu's cache placement curve with the number of members joining the MGCA during the same period. Is there a straight line relationship between the number of members and the amount of caches placed or has there been an increase in caches greater than the membership increment? Interesting to see the seasonal plateau in the December timeframe holding steady, although shrinking.
