So let's see if I've got this game right. We find the location in the picture, snap an image of it, take the co-ordinates and post it here... right? Here's my pic:

And the co-ordinates I got were N49 53.886 W097 08.707

So what do I do now?

btw ... fun game!!!

Nicely done. I had an idea, but I don't think I was close enough to have made it this time.

You're now 'It'. Find a location, mark the co-ords, and take and post a picture.

If we can't figure it out in a few days or a week, give us more (partial) co-ordinates.

Rinse. Repeat.

Are you guys searching for this one?    Maybe I'll give you more co-ords to work from...

The co-ords start with: N49 53.___ W097 07.___

Does this help?

It's usually a week or so from picture post to picture found. Even if there are a couple of immediate "I know where that is!" comments.

Disclaimer: This is another "I know where that is!" post from me. I seem to have alot of them. I guess I'm just extremely smart, that's all...
You should all have seen this statue before, as it's given in a cache name. (Sorry dani, I'm giving a hint! Don't shoot!)

You’d think someone so smart could figure out how to post an image

Maybe the maker of wagons only THINKS he knows where the statue is . . .

I'm having quite a fun time just watching for the pics and identifying them... One of these days I'll borrow a camera from someone and grab one of these pics...

Wayne are you sure you know where it is?  There aren't any caches with the same name as this statue ... at least not in Canada ...

Alright, everyone settle down.

Wayne, I am so anxious to see you play this game that I am offering up my services as photographer.  Or at the very least as a camera monkey.

Go find yourself a spiffy location you want to post a picture of, and we can visit it as well as Dani's "squatting bishop".  If, in the travels we happen to visit another cache or two in the process, so much the better.  It'll be like old times!

The gauntlet has been dropped.

ALRIGHT! Let's see if I've got this. The pic is a little different, because this was as close as I could zoom in!

The coordinates for this picture are N 49° 53.359 W 097° 07.357. This statue is known as the Eye of the Man. Recognize the name?

Here's a little more context:

HERE IS THE NEXT GEOPIC: Perhaps a head-scratcher, but if you've paid attention in your travels, you may recognize it!

The coordinates are: N 49° _ _ . _ _ _ W 097° _ _ . _ _ _ ...

Good night, and good luck!

I rushed back from Chicago to grab this one but can't get the picture to post.  Its definitely TurdleEgg's pole, a 40' class 3 red pine with penta (CCA) treatment, 1998 vintage.  If you let me know how to log the picture, Mr. T., I'll give you the coords and your plant records along with the rest of the framing details. (This may be a good thing to know if you end up as the district operator next week in Boissevein!)

You know way too much! BTW, it’ll probably be Steinbach, not Boissevain

I’ll send you a PM with instructions how to post your pic.

Too easy!  This was actually in the Winnipeg Free Press last summer and the location posted.  For those of you who may have forgotten;

N49 49.490    W097 07.164.

In telephonese, this is 98RielL1.  Didn't have the MH route map so not sure what their location is.  SE corner of Riel & Darwin, not too far from tonight's meeting at Big Guy's.

Let me unpack my bags now that I am back in town for a while and I'll try and find something to keep everyone busy.

PS.  TurdleEggs, this is a revenue pole.  Check your joint use agreements to make sure the two foreign attachments are included, otherwise you get to back charge the tennants for five years from date of identification!

Thanks for the information bevro - I'll forward it to the GIS and District staff to update their records.

Before any of you kiddies attempt this in your own back yard, the Spidy-pole was painted on the ground before it was set. There’s hot wires just above the spider web!

Sorry for taking so long in posting the next picture but I haven't had a chance to park my 4 wheeled office lately and am just getting the 'pooter back from the shop (picked up some kind of nasty wormy thingy while down south).  Have a bit of patience and I will get a pic up soon.  I have to fire off to Regina tonight but will be back by the weekend.

I'm sorry for taking so long in posting but I'm finally back in town with all the tools.  This one shouldn't be too difficult:

N49 5_.___  W097 __.___

Good hunting.

PS.  Mr. T, thanks for the assistance.

This was the most difficult activity ever.  Couldn't upload to my Shaw webserver from an MTS connection. Grrrr. Sorry it's a phone pic, but it's the best I can do!

Without the ability to see the phone screen, it's hard to know EXACTLY where to stand.

The coordinates I was at:

N49 53.641   W097 18.402

Next pic will be up tonight.....pending Candace and Will's acceptance of this location.

Edited to put in the right set of coordinates.

Reject it, reject it!   You'll notice how many of Lizardo's activities tend to be of the more difficult variety!
